At the World Premiere of a BBC Commission by Anthony Payne

David visited Manchester on Saturday the 5th June 2010 to attend the world premiere of a BBC commission by Anthony Payne, here with his wife, the singer, Jane Manning.

David joined Anthony Payne and the critic Lynne Walker for a pre-concert talk on Mahler's 10th Symphony, for which David assisted in the performing version fifty years ago.

David with Gianandrea Noseda, chief conductor of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, who gave the world premiere of David's 7th Symphony on Saturday the 24th April. David was detained in Australia due to the volcanic ash problem so this meeting allowed David to thank maestro Noseda for the premiere performance.
